Mos Lane development begins in WA

WA Planning and Lands Minister John Carey joined Perth developer ADC today to turn the first sod on the new $140 million Mos Lane development in Mosman Park, marking a significant milestone for the local community, investors, and retail precinct.

The Mos Lane project, located at 130 Wellington Street in Mosman Park, will deliver a mixed-use precinct featuring 68 high-quality apartments and townhouses, built above a vibrant shopping centre.

The retail component will include a diverse range of food and beverage outlets, health and wellness services, and community spaces designed to reinvigorate the Mosman Heights Shopping Centre precinct.

Minister Carey highlighted the importance of the project in boosting housing diversity and supporting community development within Mosman Park.

He noted that this development sets a new benchmark for mixed-use projects in the area, combining residential living with essential retail and community amenities that cater to residents’ evolving needs.

Representatives from ADC, including Executive Directors Adam Zorzi and Rod Hamersley, as well as Andrew Owens, General Manager at Icon Constructions, emphasised their commitment to creating a landmark precinct that enhances the lifestyle offerings in Mosman Park while supporting economic growth through new retail and health services.

The $140 million investment underscores ADC’s confidence in the local market and their dedication to long-term community benefits, providing both modern housing options and a revitalised social hub for Mosman Park residents.

The sod-turning ceremony, held from 6:00am to 10:00am, marked the official start of construction, with completion expected to deliver a dynamic and integrated urban environment supporting sustainable living and local business growth.

This ambitious development signals a promising future for Mosman Park as it embraces innovative urban planning to meet housing demand and improve livability while fostering community connections around new shared spaces and commercial offerings.
