Dexus property group is set to redevelop Botany’s Lakes Business Park South, located in close proximity to Port Botany and Sydney Airport into a fresh and vibrant ‘Botany Quarter’.
With plans of becoming one of South Sydney’s largest business and lifestyle hubs, Dexus is hoping to inject some life into the Botany precinct. Designed by architects ‘Nettletontribe’ Botany Quarter is set to become a ‘premium work-life’ creative hub with plans to offer 200 creative offices, restaurants, and retail stores across the three mixed-use buildings.
The three buildings in Botany Quarter are set to offer 24 creative offices, a child-care facility, an on-site gym, expansive parkland, individual storage units, industrial spaces, retail stores and eateries spanning 24,300 square metres.
“Botany Quarter will reinvigorate the South Sydney area and create a much-needed lifestyle precinct, in the same way that The Grounds of Alexandria has done, for the enjoyment and benefit of both workers and the local community,” says Dexus Chief Investment Officer, Ross Du Vernet.
The project will “reinvigorate” the South Sydney area, he said.
Nettletontribe voice that their design solutions “bring enhanced livability” to every building and every space they deliver, and that they “are proud of our diverse portfolio and our track record creating incredible award-winning buildings and spaces where our clients can live, work and study”, so it is safe to say that Botany Quarter is in good hands.
Dexus is currently Australia’s largest listed owner of office spaces and acquired the Botany Lakes Business Park, at 2-13 Lord Street for $153.5 million, in January 2015.
“Building on our mixed-use experience, we’ve created a highly flexible offer that will meet the demands of the current market, while allowing flexibility for dynamic businesses to change and evolve,” Du Vernet finalised.
Michael Crombie and Tom Barnier at Colliers International South Sydney have been appointed to market the project.
