Rothelowman has merged with Fratelle after a two-year partnership, combining the companies’ unique capabilities.
Whilst the firms’ mutual capabilities lie in residential, retail, hospitality, commercial and mixed-use sectors, Fratelle brings expertise in aged care, specialist housing and heritage and has a deep understanding of what makes Perth a unique place to live and play, which will have an immediate impact on Rothelowman’s portfolio and service offering.
Combining Fratelle’s knowledge of the WA landscape with Rothelowman’s scale of operations and experience facilitates rapid growth in WA for Rothelowman, increasing its capacity to deliver on large-scale, mixed-use projects across the state.
Fratelle’s team of architects and interior designers will officially operate under the Rothelowman name from 1 February, creating a 220 strong national team.
With work underway in WA on projects valued at up to $500M, Rothelowman’s portfolio will see an immediate boost with the finalisation of the merger.
“We are excited to welcome Kylee Schoonens and the entire Fratelle team to our national collective. Having worked closely together since 2020, Rothelowman has seen firsthand the exceptional work delivered by Fratelle. With an alignment of goals and values, combining our expertise and resources was the natural evolution for Rothelowman,” explained Rothelowman Managing Principal, Nigel Hobart.
“As a respected voice and advocate for the property and construction industry, Kylee’s ability to positively influence her peers goes beyond her immediate team. As she steps into her role as Principal, Kylee brings a fresh perspective and refined skillset to the Rothelowman leadership team that we haven’t had before,” shared Mr Hobart.
“Kylee and the Fratelle team joining Rothelowman is the last piece of the puzzle for Rothelowman to achieve true nation-wide geographic, sector and service diversity.”
With more than 20 years’ industry experience, Kylee Schoonens will join the Rothelowman team as Principal after 13 years at the helm of Fratelle, which she founded in early 2010.
Motivated to deliver a significant and positive impact to Perth city skyline, Kylee believes the new structure will significantly boost her team’s ability to influence and shape WA while retaining the city’s character and liveability.
“The Fratelle team is thrilled to become part of Rothelowman. It will significantly enhance our growth in WA and provide us with greater exposure to projects across the country. As part of an established team that has more than 30 years’ experience delivering large-scale complex projects across Australia, we have a very bright future ahead of us.”
“I am excited to join the prestigious and experienced team of Principals at Rothelowman and look forward to making an impact on the future of the practice.”
