Scott Carver, a prominent Australian architecture practice with over 40 years of history, has unveiled its rebrand as Studio.SC.
The new identity is defined by the mantra “thinking in new dimensions”, signalling a fresh era of creativity, growth, and design excellence for the firm.
The rebranding effort aims to highlight Studio.SC‘s broad cross-sector expertise engages clients, staff, and future talent.
The firm’s portfolio spans diverse projects, including cultural works like the Sydney Opera House renewal and the Australian War Memorial’s new Southern Entrance, as well as commercial developments such as a 30-storey high-rise in Parramatta CBD.
Co-Managing Director Thomas Hansen explained the philosophy behind the new brand: “Our guiding principle expresses our commitment to always thinking differently and drawing on diverse perspectives to deliver exceptional client experiences and design outcomes.
“The deep generalist and cross-sector expertise of our team is our competitive edge.”
The rebrand marks a significant milestone for the studio’s four directors – Doug Southwell, Thomas Hansen, Nicholas Bandounas, and Edward Salib — who have led the 50-strong team to win diverse projects and major design competitions over the past five years, elevating the practice to tier-one status.
Studio.SC‘s core values are described as “Fearless, Bright, and Aware”, reflecting their unconventional approach, optimistic mindset, and attentiveness to client and community needs.
The rebranded studio will continue to build on its legacy of innovative design across multiple sectors, including residential, mixed-use, cultural, and commercial projects.
Notable works include the Wentworth Point Masterplan, the redevelopment of the former Balmain Leagues Club, and award-winning affordable housing projects.
Studio.SC will celebrate its rebrand with clients, colleagues, and industry peers at a gala event on July 4th at the Ivy Sunroom.
