IXL partners with Innovative Dehumidifier Systems to launch mould solution

IXL partners with Innovative Dehumidifier Systems to launch ground breaking mould solution

IXL has announced a new partnership with Innovative Dehumidifier Systems to introduce a cutting-edge dehumidifier solution to the Australian and New Zealand markets.

The IW25-5 Wall-mounted Dehumidifier, featuring advanced Bi-Polar Ionisation Technology, aims to combat mould formation effectively and effortlessly.

Mould poses a significant health risk in up to 50 per cent of Australian homes, according to the World Health Organisation. This risk increases during warm, humid months, particularly in northern regions where humidity levels can reach 65-70 per cent in the wet season.

Maintaining indoor humidity between 40-55 per cent is crucial for preventing mould growth and ensuring a healthier living environment.

The IW25-5 Dehumidifier eliminates the need for bulky floor units with its tankless design and incorporates an ozone-free Bi-Polar Ion Generator.

This technology releases ions that attach to indoor pollutants such as bacteria, pollen, mould, and odours, breaking them down into harmless water vapour, effectively purifying the air without user intervention.

A key feature of the IW25-5 is its versatile mounting options. It can be installed directly on the wall surface or integrated inside the wall, blending seamlessly with various surfaces.

Both configurations are designed for direct plumbing into the home, eliminating the need to manually empty a catchment tray.

Malcolm Russell, General Manager – Marketing at IXL, emphasised the product’s relevance: “With increasing climate volatility in Australia and New Zealand, there’s a growing demand for reliable mould and dehumidification solutions.

“We are proud to collaborate with IDS to offer an efficient, advanced dehumidifier system ideal for homeowners, renters and apartment owners alike.”

Brian Smith, founder of Innovative Dehumidifier Systems, developed the IW25-5 after facing persistent mould challenges in his property developments.

“As a General Contractor and Developer, I witnessed firsthand the costly repercussions of mould issues. I’m excited to partner with IXL to bring this effective solution to Australia & New Zealand,” Smith stated.

The IW25-5 Dehumidifier is equipped with an integral humidistat for continuous monitoring of indoor humidity levels and a cleaning sensor that alerts users when filters require maintenance.

This partnership between IXL, a trusted name since 1858, and Innovative Dehumidifier Systems brings cutting-edge technology to address a pressing issue in Australian and New Zealand homes.
