The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) is the peak industry body for Australia’s electrical and communications contracting industry that employs 145,000 workers and delivers an annual turnover in excess of $23 billion. We represent approximately 4,500 electrical contracting businesses across Australia.
We’re now in our centenary year with our first chapter opening its doors to members in 1916.
Whilst a lot has changed since our early existence, NECA continues to work hard to represent the interests of the electrical and communications contracting industry to Federal and State Governments, regulators and principle industry bodies such as ACCI and Standards Australia, in addition to developing a diverse and valuable range of products for our members across all states and territories.
NECA’s involvement and capabilities within the education and training sector extends to the employment and skilling of over 4,000 apprenticeships across Australia. We also deliver training options for a further 3,000 qualified electricians to the industry through technical advice, business skills training and business development and marketing training for management.
