The detailed design development of the Perth Entertainment and Sporting Precinct has taken a significant step forward with the awarding of a new contract.
An alliance comprising Western Australian firms Seymour Whyte, Civmec, and Aurecon has been selected to work closely with the Office of Major Infrastructure Delivery to progress the planning and detailed design of the precinct.
This strong local design and construction team will integrate valuable ideas and feedback gathered during recent community consultations and stakeholder engagement sessions.
The consortium brings together internationally renowned architects, specialist urban designers, and geotechnical experts.
They have previously delivered some of Western Australia’s most iconic infrastructure projects, including the recently completed Boorloo Bridge.
The precinct at Burswood is a key election commitment aimed at unlocking the site’s full potential for sport and recreation.
It will create a multipurpose entertainment precinct designed to benefit the local community and regular park users while boosting the state’s capacity to host a diverse range of arts, cultural, and sporting events.
Construction of the precinct is expected to be completed by 2027.
As the design process progresses, further opportunities for community and stakeholder input will be made available.
Interested parties are encouraged to register for project updates via the official project website.
