Mettle has reached a construction milestone at Odyssey Lifestyle Care Communities’ Biarritz project in Queensland, with the company hitting the top of the fourth and final tower.
The eight-storey building is the culmination of the Odyssey Robina master-planned community, delivering an additional 68 luxury apartments. The development inlcudes one, two, and three-bedroom configurations, all designed to fit within Odyssey’s unique resort-style model of aged care.
Mettle Construction Manager Damian O’Leary said the milestone was a testament to the team’s ability to remain on programme.
“The construction team is now focussing on the finish to complete this remaining stage of the Odyssey Robina precinct,” O’Leary said.
“The ongoing collaborative approach between Odyssey and Mettle has put the project in a great position to finish on time and to the highest quality, aligning it to the needs of the local community.”
Named after the iconic French coastal resort town, the Biarritz tower is more than just residential space. The development includes an expansive activities hub, a dedicated medical wing for visiting doctors and allied health professionals, a cinema, gym, and even a bocce green.
Odyssey founder Phil Usher noted that the project was uniquely shaped by the residents.
“Our residents have been involved in the process, with their feedback and ideas helping to shape this new tower,” Usher said.
“Working with Mettle, who truly understand our values and share our vision, has been a key element to bringing this stage to life.”
The Odyssey model has gained traction for its community-first approach, allowing couples to stay together, welcoming pets, and encouraging family visits.
Odyssey is located at Robina on the corner of Scottsdale Drive and The Crestway. Mettle currently has two further developments underway at Chevron Island and Hope Island.
