Cedar Woods tops out sixth Hudson Hub office

Cedar Woods tops out sixth Hudson Hub office

ASX-listed developer Cedar Woods has marked a significant milestone with the topping out of Hudson Hub, the sixth strata office building in its Williams Landing development in Melbourne’s west.

The event, held in partnership with builder Hacer Group, saw the traditional placement of an olive tree atop the structure — symbolising prosperity, growth, and strength — alongside the final beam, signifying the building’s structural completion.

Hudson Hub comprises 82 strata office suites and five retail spaces, and has already experienced robust demand, with more than 60 per cent of suites sold.

This strong uptake highlights a growing appetite for high-quality office space outside Melbourne’s CBD, as local businesses increasingly seek premium workplaces closer to residential areas and well-connected suburban hubs.

James Bovell, Cedar Woods’ Victorian State Manager, emphasised the project’s alignment with evolving market trends, stating: “This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, well-connected office environments in Melbourne’s growth corridors.

“The response to Hudson Hub underscores a clear shift in the market, businesses are increasingly seeking thoughtfully designed workplaces that are closer to where they live.”

Designed by architecture firm Hames Sharley, Hudson Hub integrates features aimed at supporting both functionality and employee wellbeing.

The building offers premium end-of-trip facilities, secure bicycle storage, communal EV charging stations, and expansive rooftop amenities, including landscaped entertaining areas, BBQ facilities, and private balconies for selected suites.

Sustainability is a core focus, with a high-performance facade, rooftop solar panels, and energy-efficient lighting among the initiatives designed to reduce the building’s carbon footprint.

Strategically located, Hudson Hub is set to serve Wyndham’s rapidly expanding population, projected to reach 512,000 by 2041, with Williams Landing expected to generate 12,000 new jobs by 2038.

The project’s strong sales and community interest reflect broader shifts in workplace preferences, as more businesses opt for decentralised, well-appointed office spaces.

Looking ahead, Cedar Woods anticipates welcoming a diverse range of businesses to the Williams Landing community when Hudson Hub is completed in early 2026.

Bovell noted: “Williams Landing is marked as a major activity and employment centre.

“It has been incredible to see this project receive such a positive response, and we look forward to welcoming a wide range of new businesses to the Williams Landing community when Hudson Hub is completed in early 2026.”

Fit-out works for Hudson Hub will commence shortly, with construction scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2026.
