CBRE unveils reimagined Sydney CBD office as a world-class workplace

CBRE has officially reopened its Sydney CBD office at 363 George Street, following a transformative refurbishment that combines cutting-edge design and advanced technology to create a globally recognised workspace.

The revamped office spans three floors and approximately 3,700 square metres, featuring innovative facilities aimed at fostering collaboration, creativity, and sustainability.

Andrew Roy, CBRE’s NSW Senior Managing Director, emphasised the strategic design of the space to enhance connection and teamwork.

“As a global gateway, our Sydney office is now a world-class workspace that reflects our commitment to excellence and innovation,” Roy stated.

He highlighted that the new layout will improve communication, streamline collaboration, and boost productivity — ultimately delivering greater value to clients.

The redesigned office includes a business lounge for staff and clients, a presentation suite, a social hub, and an event space.

Jenny Liu, CBRE Director of Workplace Consulting, underscored the human-centric approach of the project, stating: This transformation isn’t just about place — it’s about people.

“We’ve created an ecosystem that encourages our teams to experiment with new ways of working,” Liu noted.

Sustainability was central to the refurbishment, aligning with CBRE’s net-zero ambitions.

The office was designed to achieve prestigious certifications, including a 6-Star Green Star Interiors rating, WELL Platinum certification, and a 6-Star NABERS Energy Rating.

Notably, the project was one of only seven accepted into the Green Building Council of Australia’s Early Access Program for its new Green Star Fit-outs tool.

The renovation was executed through collaboration between CBRE’s internal teams — including Workplace Consulting and Project Management — and external partners Bates Smart (architecture) and Shape (construction).

This milestone reflects CBRE’s commitment to redefining modern workplaces while prioritising employee engagement and environmental responsibility.
