The future Macquarie Park residential precinct in north-western Sydney is gaining an increasingly defined profile, with the first towers of Greenland Australia’s ‘nbh at Lachlan’s Line’ now becoming firmly established on the suburb’s skyline.
Greenland Australia acquired Lot 104 and 105 of the 1.53-hectare Lachlan’s Line site in late 2015, with development approval granted for the construction of 900 apartments and 5,500 square metres of retail floor space. The company’s construction partner, Ganellen, commenced construction of the site’s first buildings in December 2017, with completion scheduled for mid to late 2019.
Right now, residents of Sydney’s north-west are getting their first glimpse of the ‘nbh at Lachlan’s Line’ precinct, with the development’s first four towers rising from the site, at the junction of Epping Road and Delhi Road. The residential towers – known as Habitat, Hideaway, Hearth and Nexus – will ultimately rise to 17 storeys and wrap around the future Lachlan’s Square, just 200 metres from the North Ryde metro station. Nexus will be the landmark building of the site, featuring unrivalled district views of Lane Cove National Park and Chatswood.
All four buildings are now completed up to level 10, with the installation of essential elements such as plumbing, wiring and other internal services proceeding at a good pace. According to Greenland Australia’s Managing Director, Sherwood Luo, construction works on nbh at Lachlan’s Line are ahead of target.
“We’re tracking ahead of schedule with the construction at nbh, and Ganellen are working hard to deliver our vision of a sustainable and connected urban village in this growing part of Sydney,” said Mr Luo, “it’s exciting to see our first four towers emerge from the site, and we’re looking forward to being able to hand over this project to our buyers and the Macquarie Park community next year.”
Mr Luo also said that nbh will be the centrepiece of the future Macquarie Park community.
“nbh will be located right in the middle of a 6,000-apartment master-planned precinct which is set to become the residential and business hub of Sydney’s north-west corridor,” he stated, “Lachlan’s Square will also become the community’s key retail destination, lined with supermarkets, food emporiums and essential services, not to mention daycare and playground facilities for young families.”
