Wynn Al Marjan Island nears topping-out milestone

Wynn Al Marjan Island nears topping-out milestone

Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, is on track to reach the topping-out milestone later this month.

Currently, the resort’s main tower stands at its 70th floor, inching closer to its full height of 305 metres.

This US$5.1 billion development is Wynn Resorts’ first integrated resort in the UAE and is positioned roughly 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport.

The project is a collaboration between Wynn Resorts, Marjan Properties, and RAK Hospitality Holding.

Wynn Design & Development leads the design, while ALEC Engineering and Contracting, part of Dubai’s Investment Corporation, secured the main construction contract in 2023.

German foundation specialist Bauer International was appointed for piling and enabling works. Structural work on the low-rise buildings is 97 per cent complete, with façade panel installation 73 per cent finished.

Almost all resort accommodation units — 1,526 out of 1,530 — have completed structural construction, and interior fit-out is underway across 1,504 units with mechanical and electrical systems being installed.

Spanning over 60 hectares, Wynn Al Marjan Island will feature 1,217 resort rooms, 297 enclave suites, 10 Marina Estates, four garden townhomes, and two royal apartments.

The resort will offer a diverse range of amenities, including 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a beach club, luxury spa and beauty facilities, a high-end shopping area with international brands, and the Coral Court event venue.

Additionally, guests can enjoy The Showroom theatre, 12 pools, a 420-metre white sand beach, and a deep-water marina accommodating superyachts, targeting a luxury global clientele.

The resort is slated to open in early 2027.

Reflecting Wynn Resorts’ substantial investment confidence in the region, the US$5.1 billion budget includes land costs, fees, and capitalised interest, with substantial funding secured through debt and equity.

The project is expected to drive tourism and economic growth in Ras Al Khaimah, complementing the emirate’s expanding hospitality sector.

The resort is expected to bring new luxury standards to the UAE, an area already home to other integrated resorts, and aims to capture a significant share of the upscale market, especially attracting VVIPs from Dubai and worldwide.

This milestone topping out phase highlights rapid construction progression, with ALEC leveraging its expertise in complex, high-profile projects to stay on schedule alongside Bauer International’s foundation works.

Wynn Al Marjan Island is set to become a landmark luxury destination in the UAE upon completion.
