House and land sales continue to boom across Melbourne with master-planned community Woodlea achieving sales at almost triple the amount compared to this time last year, with each land release a sell out success within days of launching.
The first three months of 2021 saw 147 lots snapped up, with demand for the most recent land release amongst the strongest Woodlea has witnessed, with 350 registrations received for just 31 available lots – all which sold out within two days from release.
Woodlea Project Director, Matthew Dean, said the combination of government incentives and low-interest rates, coupled with Woodlea’s array of already established infrastructure, has equipped buyers with confidence in the market.
“We were pleased to know that some Woodlea buyers had secured the Homebuilder Grant but it was not evident that it was a key driver for our continuous sell outs,” Mr Dean said.
“The buyer demographic across the last quarter suggests that the grant, whilst a value add to many buyers, is not a key driver in the decision to purchase land but rather, purchasers have sought a community that is already well-established in terms of infrastructure, such as schools, parks and Woodlea’s newly opened town centre,” he said.
To date, Woodlea has been popular with a healthy mix of buyer groups including first homeowners who have taken advantage of government incentives, alongside investors and second and third-homeowners, all who are looking for their forever home within a thriving community.
Everything at Woodlea is designed to support better living, from the diversity of the homes to the use of the landscape to the spirit of the neighbourhoods.
Spanning 711 hectares, Woodlea is fast becoming a major asset for the west, comprising prestigious school options, ‘destination style’ playgrounds, sporting facilities and Woodlea Town – the communities new shopping precinct anchored by a 3500 square metre Coles supermarket.
In addition, the estate has planted over 6,000 mature trees to date and each home within Woodlea is strategically positioned within 200 metres of a beautifully landscaped park, allowing space to play, exercise, relax or just connect with nature.
Woodlea is now home to 8,500 residents and upon completion, will be home to over 20,000 residents.
