A major new park is taking shape at Frasers Property Australia’s Five Farms community in Clyde North, with construction of the three-hectare Wirrinda Linear Park progressing toward completion before the end of 2026.
Located within the Wirrinda neighbourhood, the Linear Park stretches between Prominence Boulevard and Wild Goose Way and has been designed as a central spine for recreation and community activity.
The park’s concept draws on the seven seasons of the Bunurong Traditional Owners, with curated landscape zones reflecting seasonal changes through planting, materials, and sculptural play elements.
A welcoming arrival space has been incorporated to provide a quieter area for reflection, while transitional zones between seasonal areas will serve as informal respite spaces.
These zones include seating, platforms, hammocks, and dedicated fitness nodes equipped with fixed exercise infrastructure.
The park has been designed by award-winning landscape architects Beveridge Williams and will feature a wide range of recreational amenities aimed at families and active users.
Key features include a rebound wall, a half basketball court, flying fox, public toilets, drinking fountains, bike racks, picnic shelters, barbecues, terraces, a shaded sandpit, and Wi Fi connectivity.
A central playground will cater for children aged zero to 14 and includes a mix of interactive and imaginative play elements. These include concrete foraging objects hidden within the sandpit, water play equipment, musical installations, kick-around areas, climbing structures, a mechanical digger, and Australian animal-themed rockers.
Once complete, Wirrinda Linear Park is expected to complement the nearby Silo Park, A Livvi’s Place, strengthening the network of open space within Five Farms and providing a focal point for both residents and the broader Clyde North community.
Sarah Bloom, General Manager Development Victoria, Frasers Property Australia, said the project builds on an expanding suite of community infrastructure already delivered within the estate.
“Wirrinda Linear Park will lead right into the heart of Five Farms and really enhance our community engagement program, which already encourages residents to make new friends and connections within their neighbourhood,” said Bloom.
“The park will feature plenty of room for gatherings and catch-ups and opportunities for serendipitous encounters with potential new friends.”
Five Farms has seen steady development since its first residents moved in during 2024.
Existing amenities include the Allendale Club, which offers a pool, co-working space, sports courts, gym, and function room, as well as a communal garden, primary and secondary school, and Silo Park.
The broader master planned community is expected to comprise approximately 1,600 homes upon completion, alongside a proposed town centre featuring a supermarket, café, and specialty retail.
With the construction of Wirrinda Linear Park advancing and completion targeted before year’s end, subject to weather conditions, the new open space is positioned to become a key destination for residents, particularly during the upcoming summer holiday period.
The Five Farms Sales Centre is located at 100 Wild Goose Way, Clyde North.
