Lendlease’s largest urban regeneration development, Victoria Harbour, has just celebrated the ‘topping out’ of 839 Collins Street, the precinct’s last major commercial building.
“The topping out of 839 Collins Street represents a significant milestone for Lendlease as it completes a total of 270,000 sqm of commercial space delivered in Victoria Harbour to date,” voiced Lendlease General Manager for Building, Victoria, Bill Alexandrakis.
839 Collins Street was designed by the architects at Denton Corker Marshall, taking advantage of the building site’s ideal southern solar orientation and views of the picturesque Yarra River. Surrounded by a glass façade, 839 Collins Street’s flexible office plan integrates with a roof terrace and a garden that includes a multi-purpose sports court and BBQ facilities, setting a new design standard for healthy work environments.
Sustainability principles are embodied in the design of 839 Collins Street, with the aim to achieve a 5 Star Green Star, and a 4.5 Star NABERS energy rating.
Victoria Harbour also has one of the highest concentration of Green Star-rated buildings in Australia and a 6 Star Green Star Communities rating by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), recognising Victoria Harbour as a world leader in sustainable planning.
839 Collins Street is on track for completion in early 2019.
