Peet launches Glendalough Green townhouse development

Peet launches Glendalough Green townhouse development

Peet has announced the launch of Glendalough Green, a new medium-density development comprising 100 turnkey townhouses in Glendalough, just six kilometres from Perth’s CBD.

This project aims to set a new benchmark for sustainable, community-focused living in one of Perth’s most connected and sought-after suburbs.

Recent research from the Property Council of Australia highlights a shift in housing preferences, with nearly three-quarters of Western Australians supporting higher-density living and almost 60 per cent actively supporting or open to medium-density development.

Glendalough Green responds directly to this demand, moving beyond traditional infill projects to offer a diverse range of high-quality homes.

“Glendalough Green addresses the growing demand for diverse, high-quality housing options, offering a blend of convenience, community, and access to public open spaces,” said Brendan Gore, Managing Director and CEO at Peet.

“These townhouses fill the ‘missing middle’ gap in the market, appealing to a broad range of buyers from young professionals to downsizers, and demonstrates how well-considered design can support connected communities and enhance the surrounding area.”

Located at 315 Harborne Street, just 500 metres from Glendalough Train Station, Glendalough Green features two, three, and four-bedroom two-storey homes inspired by classic London mews architecture.

Residents will benefit from a host of nearby amenities, including cafes, shopping and dining options at hubs such as Herdsman Market, Oxford Street, and Westfield Innaloo.

The development is also within the catchment area for Bob Hawke College and close to Lake Monger Primary School.

Central to the project is a communal open space equipped with play equipment, barbecues, and picnic tables, designed to foster community interaction and outdoor enjoyment.

The homes themselves feature high-quality finishes and a strong focus on sustainability, offering solar panel options and achieving a 7-star or higher NatHERS energy rating.

Residents will also have direct access to Glendalough Open Space, Lake Monger, and Herdsman Lake, and receive complementary membership to the Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre.

Peet is delivering Glendalough Green in partnership with Tokyo Gas Real Estate Australia.

The first stage of townhouses will be released to the market in April 2025, with completion of all homes expected within approximately two years.
