National Precast has grown to become the peak body for the Australian precast concrete industry with a representative membership comprising precast manufacturers of all capabilities, across all states. The Project Round-up is one of many initiatives undertaken and provides a snapshot of precast activity on a monthly basis.
Project: Veolia recycled mix design
Location: Launceston, TAS
Master Precaster: Hudson Civil Products
National Precast Master Precaster, Hudson Civil Products is committed to sustainable initiatives throughout the precast concrete supply chain. Recent collaborations between Hudson Civil Products and waste management giant Veolia have envisioned recycled byproducts as a prospective new mix for precast concrete. Hudson Civil has been working in close collaboration with Viola to ensure all input materials undergo appropriate processing to ensure a designated class of finish. The offsite manufacture of precast concrete enables Master Precasters such as Hudson Civil to explore sustainable new mix designs that promote a circular economy.
Project: Solar Traffic Operations Products
Location: Pilbara, WA
Master Precaster: AusPrecast
A set of Solar Traffic Operations Products (STOP) has been recently deployed to a remote BHP Pilbara site. This innovative solution which incorporates a precast concrete foundation will improve traffic safety throughout the site without requiring access to the power network. National Precast Master Precaster, Aus-Precast were responsible for manufacturing the traffic solution’s precast elements.

Nine by Mirvac, a welcoming mixed-use development in Sydney’s North, has shown a promising start with an array of gracefully concave precast concrete spandrels having been installed by National Precast Master Precaster, Advanced Precast. This subtle solution elegantly frames the development’s second floor balcony.
Event: DesignBUILD
Location: Melbourne, VIC
As a long-standing event partner, National Precast was delighted to have once again fly the precast flag at Melbourne’s DesignBUILD. The recent exhibition saw representation from all sectors of the construction industry, with National Precast showcasing exciting precast solutions including Hollowcore planks, the energy efficient TermoDeck system, as well as the benefits of using a Master Precaster.

To keep pace with Australia’s increasing freight demands, ARTC’s Inland Rail Project will increase rail capacity between major east-coast transit hubs and regional NSW, VIC, and QLD. Precast concrete been proven as an ideal solution for the Inland Rail Project due to controlled, offsite manufacture and outstanding reuse of moulds. National Precast Master Precaster MILcast is proud to be involved in the supply of precast rail platforms for the 1,700km project.
