The Capitol Grand Tower – the first luxury tower on LK Property Group’s $800 million six-star retail and high-rise residential development – has been completed.
Positioned on the corner of Toorak Road and Chapel Street in Melbourne’s CBD, the Capitol Grand development consists two luxury residential towers, the 10-storey Capitol Grand Tower and the 50-storey LK Tower, which comprise a combined total of 400 apartments.
Designed by high profile architects Bates Smart, Capitol Grand Tower will boast 88 of these high-end apartments.
Regional Managing Director at Multiplex, Graham Cottam, commented that everyone at Multiplex was thrilled to complete the first luxury residential tower on this monumental project.
“Capitol Grand represents the epitome of luxury living and we are proud to contribute to yet another inner-city landmark,” he stated.
Some cutting-edge design features of Capitol Grand Tower include undulating balustrades with a unique frit pattern, as well as high-end finishes, appliances and fixtures and fittings dotted throughout the tower.
The tower also features sustainability initiatives such as solar panels and rainwater harvesting technology from the tower roof which will assist with watering the landscaped podium area.
The Capitol Grand precinct is expected to feature an exquisite lobby, private pools, gyms, dining areas and Jack Merlo-designed elevated gardens.
At 180 metres tall, the LK Tower will boast panoramic views across Melbourne, particularly from its upper levels where five whole-floor penthouses will offer 360-degree views.
Capitol Grand will also house fine dining establishments, three levels of luxury retail, and a five-level basement car park for residents.
The final stage of the luxury project is scheduled for completion in late-2019.
