A new luxury residential development is set to make waves in the Gold Coast property market as La Mer at Main Beach prepares to launch this week.
The $140 million project, a collaboration between developer ODUS and builder Nazero, promises to deliver rare full-floor beachside apartments with sweeping 360-degree views.
Located at 3580 Main Beach Parade, just 68 steps from the sand, the 27-level tower is slated for completion in late 2026.
Construction began in July 2024 after the companies acquired the prime 751 square metres parcel in May.
Designed by Plus Architecture, La Mer will feature 22 premium three-bedroom apartments, each spanning 300 square metres and offering panoramic views of the beach, Broadwater, and Gold Coast skyline.
The development’s crowning jewel will be an opulent 600 square metres penthouse, boasting four bedrooms across two levels, to be released at a later date.
Residents will enjoy exclusive access to a host of luxury amenities, including a resort-style pool, spa, fully-equipped gym, sauna, barbeque facilities, private sun lounges, yoga lawn, and an outdoor beach shower.
With prices starting from $3.9 million, registrations of interest open this week for a limited release of the first five apartments.
The launch comes amid a reported 30 per cent supply gap for ultra-luxury apartments on the Gold Coast, according to recent research by property agency Colliers.
ODUS director Byron Sakha emphasised the development’s unique offering, stating: “Every apartment in La Mer has house-sized proportions and incredible views — not to mention a location in one of the city’s best postcodes.”
He added that the rare full-floor design would make these residences particularly prized in a market where demand continues to outstrip supply.
Sakha highlighted the project’s elevated features, including enhanced sculptural design, expansive ocean-view balconies, and elegant interiors.
The apartments will showcase refined layouts that maximise panoramic views, along with upgraded finishes featuring luxurious natural stone and premium Gaggenau appliances.
The development team has reimagined resident amenities to set a new benchmark for coastal living, introducing additional features such as a spa, sauna, expanded gym, and a larger recreation deck.
Each apartment will have private lift access to its own opulent lobby, with the site bordering parkland to ensure privacy.
OTP Group director James Elliott, managing the project’s sales, anticipates interest from a diverse range of buyers, including Gold Coast locals looking to rightsize, holidaymakers from Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne seeking a permanent residence, and lifestyle purchasers planning for future relocation.
Elliott highlighted La Mer’s unique position as the only development under construction in Main Beach offering beachside whole-floor apartments.
“La Mer’s 360-degree aspect means residents can enjoy sunrise and sunset from their apartment, not to mention vistas that take in the best of the Gold Coast — from the beach to the Broadwater, city skyline and hinterland,” he said.
As construction powers ahead, La Mer is poised to become a landmark addition to the Gold Coast’s luxury property market, offering an unparalleled living experience in one of Queensland’s most sought-after locations.
