AUSTRALIA — Construction has officially begun on Lendlease’s latest waterfront residential project, Regatta at Collins Wharf, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing development of Victoria Harbour’s Collins Wharf precinct.
The 29-storey development, designed by architect Warren and Mahoney, will feature 317 residences offering stunning water views.
Regatta at Collins Wharf boasts a prime location between the Yarra River and Victoria Harbour, where Collins Street meets the water.
The development will offer residents a range of luxurious amenities, including:
- A hotel-style lobby with concierge service
- An indoor swimming pool
- Spa, sauna, and steam room facilities
- Gym and multipurpose rooms
The project is designed as an all-electric building with electric vehicle infrastructure, targeting a 5 Star Green Star certification.
This commitment to sustainability aligns with Lendlease’s broader environmental goals.
As part of the Collins Wharf precinct development, Lendlease is creating over 5,000 square metres of new public space.
This includes:
- An extension of Australian Walk, part of the City of Melbourne’s Greenline project
- New green spaces surrounding Regatta and Ancora residences
- Landscaped areas designed by Openwork, inspired by First Nations culture
The Regatta project has already seen significant market interest, with over 80 per cent of residences pre-sold.
This success has prompted an early sales release for Ancora, the third development planned for the precinct.
Daniel Dugina, Executive Director of Development at Lendlease, commented on the project’s appeal: “The significant demand for the Collins Wharf neighbourhood reflects the appeal of this location with the residences continuing to be welcomed by a diverse range of buyers, from first home buyers to downsizers, all seeking a quality home within this desirable dual-waterfront neighbourhood with easy access to the CBD.”
The project has received backing from local and state government officials. Minister for Planning Sonya Kilkenny stated: “Regatta at Collins Wharf will provide hundreds of homes right on the Yarra River, close to the CBD, jobs, trams, Southern Cross Station, Marvel Stadium and services.”
Lord Mayor Nick Reece added: “Regatta at Collins Wharf is a success story for Docklands — delivering more homes for Melbourne in a prime location.”
The Regatta at Collins Wharf development is scheduled for completion in 2026, offering residents a unique waterfront lifestyle in close proximity to Melbourne’s CBD and its world-class amenities.
