Jinding Developments has acquired an off-market 1,012 square-metre residential development site at 9 to 11 Thornton Street, Surfers Paradise in Queensland. The site was acquired for a proposed $75M development which comprises a 27-storey building with approximately 125 apartments.
Led by DKO Architecture, the design of the project will be inspired by the coastal surrounds and influenced by Japanese design with clean lines providing a sophisticated and timeless feel. Overlooking Gold Coast Beach, the majority of residents will enjoy stunning 180-degree ocean views from their window.
With the development currently in the design phase, proposed features include a wellness centre on the ground floor that offers a lap pool, gym, yoga spaces, and sauna.
There will also be a dedicated residence floor that features indoor and outdoor dining areas, a cinema room, games room, reflection garden and even a karaoke room. Other facilities include co-working-style meeting rooms and business facilities.
Smart technology is planned to be implemented throughout the building for improved quality of life and convenience, including keyless entry, number plate recognition car park entry and electrical charging station for electric vehicles.
The site’s location is just a short walk to Surfers Paradise Beach, one of Australia’s most famous and popular destinations, and close by the BMD Northcliffe Surf Club.
Managing Director at Jinding Developments, Liz Ronson, said they are very excited to have reached unconditional contract for the site which marks the developer’s official expansion into the Queensland market.
“Thornton Street has everything we’ve been looking for – a prime location, well-serviced public transport and fantastic surrounding amenity. We couldn’t be happier to kick off our first Queensland development with such an exciting project and look forward to seeing it take shape,” she said.
Jinding Developments is preparing to commence construction on Thornton Street in early 2022, with completion expected by early 2024.
