Now officially open to the public, ‘The Paper Mill Food’ in Western Sydney is a 1,800 square metre food precinct under the heritage sawtooth roof of the beautifully restored paper mill building, which dates to 1914.
Located at Coronation Property’s 882-apartment urban renewal project on the shores of the Georges River, the precinct reflects the cultural diversity of Sydney’s vibrant west, with four distinct restaurants.
Also, an exclusive events space, Paper Mill Events, will provide the perfect venue for special occasions such as weddings, christenings, anniversaries and more, with the flexibility to cater for intimate get-togethers or larger gatherings with over 120 people.
Additionally, Paper Mill Kids will provide a function venue and play area for children, with bench seating and a playground to keep the kids entertained while parents dine.
Having already delivered The Paper Mill’s first stage buildings – The Paper Mill – and with the second and third stages, The Gild and The Bindery currently in their settlement period, Coronation Property’s Managing Director, Joseph Nahas, says the revitalisation of the heritage paper mill building into a buzzing retail quarter was a key objective of the masterplan.
“We’ve used the best food specialists in the business to create The Paper Mill Food, and this unique destination will anchor the entire precinct, enticing families from across Western Sydney who are looking for a top-quality food experience delivered in a welcoming and down-to-earth environment,” he confirmed.
“We wanted to create a space that feels like home and which encourages a new brand of family-friendly eating because, for many families, the kitchen is the heart of the home.”
“The people of the west have been crying out for a venue such as this for a long time, and we’re very proud to be delivering it for them.”
The spectacular interior design within the dining quarter, the work of interior architects, DS17, fits in perfectly with the overall design aesthetic of The Paper Mill, whilst preserving the historical integrity of the site and celebrating its riverfront location.
Bespoke timber joinery, Carrara marble and custom cast-iron sculpting resembling 19th-century ovens combine with a hand-made mosaic tile floor to create a stunning light-filled interior.
