Brightwater Care Group’s new residential aged care, research centre and corporate head office has reached its next milestone, with Georgiou Group appointed as the head contractor on the $40 million development.

Brightwater Care Group is a not-for-profit residential aged and disability care provider and, in a first for Western Australia, the new building will combine a corporate head office with a residential aged care facility and industry-leading research centre.

Construction on the new development is anticipated to commence in early 2021 and is forecast to be completed in mid-2022.

CEO for Brightwater Care Group, Jennifer Lawrence, said the development is an excellent example of Brightwater’s desire to continuously innovate.

“We are exceptionally proud of this development as it brings together our 100 plus years of experience caring for people in the WA community,” she said.

“Brightwater Inglewood has been designed to be a vibrant, inter-generational and inclusive campus with shared community engagement spaces, for staff, clients, family and visitors to interact and socialise.”

CEO of construction company Georgiou Group, Rob Monaci, said the company was immensely proud to add the project to its building portfolio for the coming year.

“Together with our colleagues at Georgiou Developments, we have worked very closely with Brightwater and the design team in an early contractor involvement model, to help determine the best design solutions to meet our client’s functional and operational needs,” Mr Monaci said.
