Fit Zone facility opens at Queensland industrial estate

25 Nov, 2025
Frasers Property Industrial launches Fit Zone

Frasers Property Industrial has officially launched its first dedicated health and wellbeing precinct, Fit Zone, at Vantage Yatala in Queensland.

The precinct is part of the company’s innovative Premium Estates concept, which aims to enhance workplace environments by promoting health, sustainability, and high performance in industrial and logistics estates.

The Fit Zone covers a 4,000 square metre area designed to improve accessibility to fitness and outdoor social amenities for workers and visitors.

According to Superfriend’s 2023 Indicators of a Thriving Workplace report, the transport and logistics sector ranked lowest among Australian industries for workplace mental health and wellbeing.

This report highlights the critical need for investments in better workplace health infrastructure to support mental and physical wellbeing in the sector.

In response, Frasers Property Industrial is prioritising high-quality amenities in its estates to enhance the wellbeing of its customers and staff.

The Fit Zone at Vantage Yatala features a range of facilities, including toilets, walking paths, outdoor gym equipment, barbecues, shaded seating, picnic tables, and a full-sized basketball court.

These amenities are designed to foster an energising and positive atmosphere for workers in the industrial precinct.

Troy Whalan, General Manager – Queensland at Frasers Property Industrial, said: “This is one of our first health and wellbeing precincts to launch in an industrial estate.

“While workplace wellbeing has long been a priority in office environments, it has been far less common in industrial settings.

“We are proud to set a new benchmark with the opening of Fit Zone at Vantage Yatala.”

The official opening was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Tom Tate, Mayor of the City of Gold Coast, who emphasised the precinct’s focus on employee wellbeing while acknowledging its broader benefits to the region, including job creation.

He stated: “This part of the Gold Coast is a huge employment hub with a lot of growth yet to come.

“Establishing facilities like this shows how focused Fraser Property Industrial is on their staff and customers.

“Word spreads and this sort of investment is an investment not only in a person’s health and wellbeing but an investment in the brand of this entire industrial area.

“Congratulations to all involved.”

Naomi Frauenfelder, CEO of Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds, welcomed the precinct as a positive development for the transport, logistics, and warehousing sector.

She said: “Since the Healthy Heads foundation began, Frasers Property Industrial has understood the link between physical wellbeing and mental health in the transport, logistics and warehousing sector.

“It is fantastic to see the organisation fully committed to delivering industry-leading initiatives in its new industrial estates and prioritising the well-being of the people who keep this sector moving.”

Located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Vantage Yatala is recognised as Southeast Queensland’s premier industrial precinct.

It offers next-generation facilities with strong sustainability credentials.

Key tenants include Primary Connect, National Tiles, PFG Australia, and Speedpanel.
