Deicorp begins Hyde Metropolitan tower construction

Deicorp has confirmed that construction is now underway on the next stage of its Hyde Metropolitan project, a landmark mixed-use development taking shape on Liverpool Street following the demolition of the former Polding Centre.

Designed by award-winning firm Candalepas Associates, the new slender, sculptural tower will transform the site into a vibrant city destination that combines premium living, luxury hospitality, and contemporary design.

The development will comprise 170 high-end residences atop a boutique 100-room hotel, creating a seamless blend of lifestyle and accommodation in Sydney’s CBD.

Positioned near Hyde Park and just moments from Museum Station and the future Gadigal Metro, Hyde Metropolitan is set to enhance the character of the city’s southern precinct with a focus on sophisticated urban living.

The project is defined by its elegant design language and curated interiors that emphasise natural light, privacy, and connection to surrounding city views.

Residents will be able to choose from one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments as well as sub-penthouses, each featuring wintergardens, spacious layouts, and refined finishes.

Amenities have been carefully integrated to promote wellness and social interaction, including a 20-metre podium pool surrounded by a landscaped terrace with barbecue facilities.

Wellness-focused spaces, such as a fully equipped gym and tranquil podium gardens, will complement the building’s resort-style atmosphere.

Residents and guests will also have access to concierge services, a ground-floor restaurant, and a cocktail lounge, reinforcing the project’s vision of a connected lifestyle precinct.

A highlight of Hyde Metropolitan will be the skybar located on level six. Overlooking Hyde Park and Sydney’s CBD skyline, the space will offer an elevated social experience and become a defining feature of the development’s hospitality offering.

Deicorp confirmed that demolition of the former Polding Centre is now complete, paving the way for construction to commence early next month.

The company said the project represents an important milestone in its growing mixed-use portfolio, bringing together residential, hospitality, and retail components in one of Sydney’s most sought-after urban settings.

With construction now progressing, Hyde Metropolitan is set to become a new architectural landmark in the city, continuing Deicorp’s track record of delivering projects that integrate design excellence with community and lifestyle appeal.
