Frasers Property Australia’s exclusive residents’ leisure hub, Club Mambourin, will soon commence construction at the new mixed-use community in Melbourne’s expanding west.
Club Mambourin will set a new benchmark in residential amenity for new communities with plans for the exclusive leisure club to include a spa, kids’ pool, 25-metre heated lap pool, multi-use court, fully equipped gymnasium, function room, café and barbecue area.
Frasers Property is also aiming to achieve a 5 Star Green Star rating for the facility, harnessing geothermal technology for heating and cooling in a bid to reduce greenhouse emissions.
Mambourin is a unique $440 million mixed-use community with all amenities just five minutes from residents’ doors. All residents will enjoy exclusive access to the year-round facilities at Club Mambourin.
The start of construction by appointed builder Harris HMC this month marks a significant milestone for the ambitious development.
Sarah Bloom, General Manager Residential Victoria for Frasers Property Australia says the club will take approximately 12 months to complete.
“It’s an exciting time for the project team and our new residents, seeing this important part of the Mambourin ‘five-minute’ community become a reality. The club will become a thriving hub and an essential place for residents to connect.
“We hope that residents will regard Club Mambourin as an extension of their own homes and make full use of all the state-of-the-art facilities.”
Ms Bloom says the use of geothermal energy to heat the club’s pool is a Victorian first. Geothermal will also be used to heat and cool the entire facility. Frasers Property is hoping geothermal technology will reduce energy costs and the developer’s carbon footprint.
“Building sustainable communities is something we take very seriously, and Club Mambourin will make use of the most environmentally sensitive energy system currently available,” Ms Bloom says.
“Sustainability is also about building resilient communities into the future and we see Club Mambourin as playing a vital role in this regard for the Mambourin community.”
