Aqualand unveils $1b AURA mixed-use precinct in North Sydney

Australian property developer Aqualand has officially opened its highly anticipated $1 billion AURA mixed-use precinct in North Sydney.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by local officials and project stakeholders, marked the completion of this landmark development at 168 Walker Street.

The 28-storey Woods Bagot-designed structure boasts 386 luxury apartments and a two-storey podium featuring four world-class dining venues.

AURA’s distinctive architecture, inspired by Sydney Harbour’s sandstone formations, creates an illusion of four separate towers with an organic, undulating facade.

Jin Lin, Aqualand Group Managing Director, emphasised the project’s significance: “AURA stands as a testament to us delivering on our objectives, which is to be the leader in positively transforming Sydney and our local communities through design excellence.”

The development offers residents an array of premium amenities, including a dedicated concierge service, a wellness centre, and a rooftop entertainment area.

Luxury inclusions extend to electric vehicle charging provisions and a pool of Tesla share vehicles for resident use.

AURA’s retail precinct aims to become a North Sydney hub, featuring artisanal dining options such as Sol, Una, Soluna, and Genzo.

The project also incorporates public art, with a site-specific piece by UK artist Richard Sweeny gracing the Walker Street entrance.

Alex Adams, Aqualand’s Head of Sales and Marketing, highlighted the project’s sales success: “We achieved $100M in sales in February alone, with the outstanding figure breaking the North Shore record for the highest sales volume and revenue achieved in one non-launch month.”

As residents prepare to move in, AURA showcases Aqualand’s commitment to luxury living and community development.
