Two Western Australian development projects have been recognised at a national level, taking out top honours at the UDIA National Awards for Excellence 2020.
The prestigious awards were announced in a unique online event with Cirque Mount Pleasant by Stirling Capital winning top gong in the High Density Development category, beating out several top quality eastern states competitors.
Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre by the City of Armadale was recognised in the Excellence in Social and Community Infrastructure category.
Both projects were winners in the UDIA WA state awards for excellence in late 2019.
“We are very proud that two Western Australian development projects have been recognised as among the best in the country,” UDIA WA CEO Tanya Steinbeck said.
“These award winners are proof that we are building great places to live and recreate. Places that are now shining on a national stage.”
Cirque Mount Pleasant is a luxurious apartment building that successfully tapped into the growing downsizer market. The eye-catching development has attracted a significant number of buyers from the surrounding area looking to swap their larger, family homes for an easier care, convenient lifestyle.
“Cirque has set a high benchmark for future development in the burgeoning Canning Bridge precinct,” Ms Steinbeck said.
“Featuring resort style facilities, impeccable finishes, along with significant sustainability features, Cirque is representative of what many downsizers in these types of areas are seeking,” Ms Steinbeck said.
The Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre features a range of fantastic facilities for locals including indoor and outdoor pools, a wellness suite, spa, sauna and zero depth splash pad all heated via a geothermal bore.
“The City of Armadale have shown great commitment to their local community in delivering such a wonderful community facility that was many years in the making,” Ms Steinbeck said. “The people of Armadale will benefit from the project long into the future.”
