Business leaders in the lighting industry from across Australia were recognised for their achievements in their respective businesses at a gala event held in Sydney.
Lighting Council Australia was proud to host the 2021 National Awards for Excellence in Lighting for the industry’s first major in-person event post the national COVID-19 pandemic.
The evening was a major celebration for the lighting industry with MC, Vince Sorrenti providing hilarious entertainment, with an insight into our lives during lockdowns and the pandemic.
Over 300 industry leaders and organisations gathered at the 2021 National Awards for Excellence in Lighting. Together the industry celebrated over 60 nominations and 10 individual categories for the awards, this included the following categories:

The major honour for the night was the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ which recognises outstanding service to the lighting industry by an individual who has been identified as a major contributor to lighting throughout Australia.
This year, Kim Craig, a resident from Port Macquarie, New South Wales and consultant from Legrand Australia was awarded the industry’s highly prestigious ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ and ‘Award for Outstanding Contribution to Standards’ for his individual contribution to the lighting industry. Kim is widely respected within the lighting industry for his in-depth knowledge of lighting standards and his long service to our industry.
Award winners this year featured from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia in a night which brought together a contingent of companies from across the nation for the first in-person major event in the last year.
