Royal Far West appoints Multiplex to deliver Manly development

Children’s healthcare charity, Royal Far West (RFW), has appointed Multiplex as their construction partner, to deliver its iconic Manly beachfront development comprised of the luxurious Aurora apartments, revitalised accommodation for country families and a blend of retail, commercial and lifestyle related spaces.

The appointment follows an extensive period of planning, design and approvals and consultation with the Manly community.

Situated on Manly’s most desirable beachfront site, Aurora comprises 58 luxuriously appointed apartments across two buildings, ranging from one to three bedrooms, all beautifully designed and crafted to achieve an air of relaxed beachside style.

Designed by distinguished award-winning architects Glenn Murcutt AO and Angelo Candalepas, complemented by the elegance of interior design studio, Carr, and the landscape expertise of Jane Irwin Landscape Architecture, Aurora stands as a testament to visionary design.

In addition to Aurora, the development features a blend of retail, commercial, and lifestyle-related spaces and will also see revitalised accommodation for visiting RFW families, as well as serve the local Manly community as a quality guest house. This development underscores the commitment by RFW to deliver an exceptional neighbourhood that enriches the lives of residents and the wider northern beaches community.

RFW’s Board Chairman, Joan Treweeke OAM said: “We believe Multiplex’s track record in delivering some of Australia’s most prestigious projects aligns with the high benchmark demanded by Aurora’s exemplary architectural merit and iconic Manly location, and we know our valued purchasers will reap the rewards of Multiplex’s depth of experience for generations to come,” said Mrs Treweeke.

“The development will enable the charity to increase its generous work for country kids in need, as well as future-proof its service for the next 100 years.”

Multiplex’s NSW Regional Managing Director, David Ghannoum, said Multiplex were looking forward to partnering with RFW to deliver the development for the charity, for purchasers and the community.

“We’re delighted to be working with eminent charity RFW. As a significant member of Manly’s community, we understand RFW are cautious custodians of this important beachfront site and we’re grateful they’ve put their trust in us. We have an unwavering commitment to delivering a beautiful quality outcome for the myriad of stakeholders behind this landmark project.”

Construction of the development is expected to complete in 2026.
