Kokoda unveils Malvern Collective mixed-use precinct

Kokoda Property Group has completed its flagship Victorian project, the Malvern Collective, transforming a prominent inner-Melbourne junction into a mixed-use precinct that blends residential, retail, and hospitality spaces.

Designed by Jackson Clements Burrows with interiors by Carr, the landmark development at Glenferrie and Dandenong Roads comprises two towers with 205 apartments, including a limited Penthouse Collection.

At street level, the project delivers a connected lifestyle precinct framed by dining, retail, and wellness offerings, with new laneways linking Glenferrie Road directly to Malvern Station.

The historic Angel of Malvern, originally opened in 1856, will reopen in early 2026 as a three-level hospitality hub featuring a public bar, courtyard beer garden, dining venue, and cocktail lounge.

For residents, the project also introduces hotel-style amenities such as concierge services, pools, lounges, a cinema, and a wellness centre.

Local downsizers and young professionals are among the early buyers, with several residents already moving in.

One new owner said: “Life at Malvern Collective feels effortless.

“Thoughtful design, a welcoming atmosphere, and everything I need is right at my front door.

“It’s connected to the best of Malvern, yet still feels like a private retreat to come home to.”

Kokoda Founder and Managing Director Mark Stevens said the project signals a renewed commitment to Melbourne after recent growth in Queensland.

“We’ve spent the past few years building momentum in Queensland, but this project represents a major commitment to Melbourne.

“The fundamentals that make this city so liveable are strengthening again, and Malvern Collective stands as both a response to and a reflection of that renewed confidence.

“To deliver a precinct of this scale, complexity, and quality in full, particularly through a challenging cycle, is a testament to our team’s long-term vision for city-shaping projects,” he said.

The completion of Malvern Collective comes as Kokoda progresses additional projects in Melbourne, including a commercial development on Burnley Street, Richmond, and a mid-rise residential building with retail and dining on Bridge Road.
