HOME unveils premium Build-to-Rent apartments in Docklands

HOME, Australia’s leading Build-to-Rent (BTR) provider, has launched its third location, HOME Docklands, setting a new standard for urban living.

The development, located at 685 La Trobe Street adjacent to Marvel Stadium, features 676 premium apartments across two striking towers.

The development comprises of:

  • Two residential towers (30 and 31 storeys)
  • 676 apartments (studio, one, two, and three-bedroom options)
  • Capacity to house approximately 1,300 residents
  • Designed in collaboration with Cox Architecture

HOME Docklands offers a range of hotel-inspired amenities and services:

  • 25-metre pool
  • Infrared sauna
  • State-of-the-art gym with spin and Pilates studio
  • On-site concierge available 7 days a week
  • Maintenance support, parcel collection, dry cleaning, and more

The development also features Doglands, a pub, restaurant, and brewery by Moon Dog, set to open in October 2024, as well as HOME’s own cafe, Milkbar.

Christian Grahame, Head of HOME, emphasised the community aspect: “HOME Docklands is more than just a place to live; it’s a vibrant community where residents can thrive. With an interactive program of events, diverse amenities, state-of-the-art co-working spaces, pet-friendly spaces and add-ons like apartment cleaning and handyman services, we’ve designed HOME Docklands to be high on style, as well as providing convenience and a strong sense of security for today’s renters.”

HOME Docklands offers leases ranging from six months to six years, providing flexibility and security for residents.

Apartments are available in furnished, unfurnished, and appliance-only options.

The development aligns with Docklands’ growing appeal as a hub for professionals, with 42.2 per cent of its residents employed in professional roles.

Colin Brooks, Minister for Development Victoria, stated: “Melbourne continues to lead the nation on build-to-rent homes which provide secure and flexible housing options for renters. Docklands plays a key role in delivering much-needed housing in the centre of Australia’s fastest-growing major city.”

HOME Docklands represents a significant addition to Melbourne’s BTR sector, offering a blend of premium living spaces, extensive amenities, and a strong focus on community building.

As the project welcomes its first residents, it is poised to make a substantial impact on the Docklands precinct and the broader Melbourne rental market.
