Windsor Health Quarter, a new $100 million integrated healthcare centre, is set to launch in Brisbane’s inner north, responding to the area’s rapidly growing population and increasing healthcare needs.
Located just 800 metres from the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, the facility aims to enhance healthcare service delivery and alleviate pressure on existing hospital resources.
The seven-level complex will offer over 5,000 square metres of healthcare service space, including facilities for general practice, urgent care, pharmacy, pathology, fertility services, diagnostic imaging, and allied health providers.
Additionally, the centre will feature 12 specialist disability accommodation (SDA) apartments and a 38-room medi-hotel, providing accommodation for low acuity patients, families, and carers.
Josh Peacock, Development Manager at JGP Property Group, emphasised the project’s significance: “Research shows that around a quarter of Brisbane Inner North residents currently have one or more long-term health conditions.
“By 2046, the over-65-years population of Greater Brisbane will nearly double, escalating the demand for accessible healthcare services.”
The centre’s strategic location and comprehensive offerings are expected to attract significant interest from the medical and healthcare sectors.
Daniel Price, Head of Healthcare at Medi Real Estate, noted: “The chance to secure flexible tenancies just three minutes’ drive from Queensland’s largest hospital and become part of a fully integrated health centre with these accommodation options is unprecedented in Brisbane.”
Construction of Windsor Health Quarter is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2025, with completion expected in the third quarter of 2026.
The project represents a forward-thinking approach to healthcare infrastructure, addressing both the current and future needs of Brisbane’s growing population.
