Fairview has hired experienced construction professional, Andrew (Sandy) McPherson, to the role of Technical Business Development in its recently created Innovations Team. With over 13 years’ experience in the construction industry, Sandy will play a key role in developing Fairview’s current and future product range.
Sandy’s joins from CSR Hebel where he had the role of National Product Manager for Building Products. Prior to that, Sandy was Director of Practica MMC Pty Ltd, which specialised in the manufacture and distribution of five construction systems throughout Australia. As part of the new Innovations Team, Sandy’s main responsibilities will be to ensure that Fairview’s product range fully meets the needs of its customers and the wider construction industry.
Sandy will be based in Fairview’s Melbourne office located in Tower 4 of the World Trade Centre along with recently appointed Architectural Consultant, Melissa Herrmann. Sandy’s range of expertise in the industry includes Codemark Accreditation compliancy and auditing, understanding of the National Construction Code; managing long-standing customer relationships. He also has prior experience as both a committee member on the Materials &. Manufacturing Sector Committee and as a Councillor (Director) of the Master Builders Victoria.
At Fairview, Sandy will be using is extensive knowledge to ensure the longevity of Fairview’s product range that currently includes a wide range of safe and aesthetically pleasing façade products such as the leading deemed-to-satisfy non-combustible aluminium cladding solution, Vitracore G2, the non-combustible solid aluminium cassette system, Vitradual, and the 100% Australian owned and manufactured intelligent aluminium cladding solution, Stryum.
