New Standards & WHS Obligations for Construction
NSW Construction Site Safety Guide 2021/22

Pro-Visual Publishing and their partnering industry associations announce the launch of their free annual site safety guide for the NSW construction industry, an initiative aimed at increasing safety awareness and reinforcing a positive safety culture and best practice in the building and construction industry.
The AR interactive guide covers vital safety information to assist industry businesses to meet their WHS obligations and duty of care. Topics covered include guidelines on the new international standard for OH&S Performance Evaluation, safety around tower crane stowing, management of falls from height and
considerations when working with young people.
The Guide will be in it’s sixth year as an AR interactive piece, giving users the ability to access additional resources to supplement the written text topics by downloading the free Pro-Vis AR app and scanning the icons on the Guide. This helps make the learning of key safety issues far more engaging and the wall guide becomes a useful go-to piece for solo reference, or for training and toolbox talks with your team.
With guides also available for other states, this series aims to educate on potential hazards and safer work procedures with a focus on creating a culture of Zero Harm and helping to make sure everyone arrives home safe from work, every day.

AR Interactive Print Helps Plumbers with Daily Risks
Plumbing Industry Guide to Safety 2021/22

Pro-Visual Publishing and their partnering industry associations have released the annual Augmented Reality (AR) Interactive Educational Safety Guide for plumbers. Distributed free across Australia, it’s designed to place on the wall as a daily reference to use with your phone, or other smart device, to view augmented content alongside the
informative printed text.
The AR component of this piece makes the learning of key safety issues far more engaging and it becomes a useful go-to piece over other print material for solo reference, or for training and toolbox talks with your team. Users download the free #Pro-Vis AR app and scan the AR icons in the various sections of the Guide for additional, relevant resources such as videos, web-links, PDF files and landing pages that ‘pop-up’ in front of you in an augmented setting.
The Guide aims to educate on potential hazards and safer work procedures with a focus on helping to create a culture of Zero Harm.
Topics this year include:
• Management and safe work practices relating to asbestos exposure.
• Updated installation standards and control measures for working with gas.
• Essential eye protection for potential hazards and injuries.
• Powered hand tool safety control measures.

Hammering Down on Safety with AR Technology
QLD Construction Site Safety Guide 2021

Pro-Visual Publishing and their partners, have released the annual Augmented Reality (AR) Interactive Educational Safety Guide for QLD Construction, a free wall poster designed to use with your phone, or other smart device, to view augmented content alongside printed text.
The digital feature of embedded AR enhances user engagement and learning of key safety hazards that workers on sites can experience day-to-day. It’s ease of use means anyone can explore the AR anytime, when mounted on the wall, and it becomes a useful go-to piece over other print material for solo reference, or for training and toolbox talks, when you do these with your
teams.
Users download the free #Pro-Vis AR app and scan the AR icons in the various sections of the Guide for additional, relevant resources such as videos, web-links, PDF files and landing pages that ‘pop-up’ in front of you in an augmented setting, providing a stimulating environment in which to learn.
Construction continues to be an industry with some of the highest death rates and injuries, so it is critical to educate workers on essential safety issues, build safety skills and learn of new WHS guidelines, which they can do with this informative Guide, with the aim of getting everyone home safe every day.
Topics include:
• Responsibilities for non-conforming building products and responsibility to report serious safety incidents, with guidance and directives from the QBCC.
• Exposure to asbestos and respirable crystalline silica, as new national exposure standards are in effect.
• Working with young people 15-24 years, as construction is one of the top three industries with the highest rate of serious claims for workers in this age bracket.
