Flushed with success, Ausdrain’s Flushmax™ system an industry first.
Ausdrain EnviroModule2 tanks have enjoyed market leadership for many reasons, including design excellence, durability and performance. The addition of the Ausdrain Flushmax™ system now provides permanent access to the tanks making cleaning and maintenance a breeze. This innovative inspection, cleaning and maintenance system is designed to provide permanent access to EnviroModule2 modular tanks giving designers, builders and property owners a cost-effective and practical solution for long-term maintenance of Ausdrain tanks.
We asked Gerard Jorna, Managing Director of Ausdrain about the genesis of the system.
“For many years councils and consultants have asked how can our underground tanks be accessed for cleaning?” he said. “We listened and responded by developing the Flushmax™ System which is an industry first in Australia, providing an innovative and cost-effective solution to the inspection and maintenance of Ausdrain EnviroModule Tanks,” he added.
Flushmax is a pre-assembled modular system with the flexibility to create single or multiple rows of 300mm perforated filtration pipes that run throughout the length of the tank. Flexibility extends to adjustment of the flow rate of the inlet pipe simply by matching it with the number of Flushmax modules required. There is also a custom solution for pipe dimensions greater than 300mm using a manifold system designed to equal the flow rate of larger inlet pipes.
In operation the system is brilliantly simply. Storm water entering the inlet pit is first screened by maxi mesh bolted over the inlet to the Flushmax row. Any solids that do enter will be captured by secondary filtration transporting them to the outlet pit for easy removal. Any remaining solids within the Flushmax row will settle on the base where they can be flushed out by a high-pressure hose at maintenance stages.
