With 70% of all conferences now postponed in Australia, the Timber Offsite Construction conference and exhibition scheduled for June has also been postponed.
Director Kevin Ezard said “with the many exciting developments happening in the world of Timber Offsite Construction, it is very disappointing to announce that Covid safety has forced us to again postpone the 2021 event until later in the year.
For the past 23 years the key feature of Frame Australia conferences has been the opportunity to personally network and talk with colleagues in the industry, rating number one in post event surveys. The ‘in-person’ format delivers a perfect forum for discussion and interaction between all the segments of timber and offsite construction.
He added “Whilst the 2021 event is planned to be ‘hybrid’ for engagement with a wider audience through ‘virtual’ participation, our core value is in-person attendance from local, interstate and overseas.
This face-to-face experience that is the focus of our conference is now at risk, with the Australian government unable to provide any assurances for the timing of Covid immunisation. Under these circumstances we are forced to postpone the event to later in the year.
When the government has reached their vaccination targets, we will conduct a safe event for all of us to enjoy. Hopefully in the coming months we will be able to announce new dates for the TOC 2021 Conference and Exhibition.
