Claremont Manor finishes ahead of schedule

20 Oct, 2016

The Hickory built, and PDS Group Project Managed $80 million Claremont Manor development in South Yarra, Melbourne rises 19 stories and is highlighted by a strong contrasting colour palette, gold highlights and a linear facade.

This exterior architecture by Bird de la Couer also features two interlocking black and white towers displaying the themes of yin and yang and is very distinctive.

The luxury interiors also set the project apart, and includes luxury apartments, retail and commercial tenancies and an exclusive residents club on level 2 complete with swimming pool, 24-hour gym and private indoor winter retreat that converts into a summer outdoor deck.

The double-storey lobby entrance is incredibly detailed comprising a mix of finishes including steel, aluminium composite panels, timber and glass as well as a gold spiral staircase.claremont-manor

Overall the project is comprised of a total of 285 apartments as well as office and commercial spaces and 3 levels of basement car parking.

PDS Group Victoria Director, Andrew Buckmaster says “The early completion is the strength of a good team working together for an outstanding result.”

Hickory Project Manager Steve Cahill agrees, saying the group’s specialised in-house resources helped to deliver the project early, including the extensive main lobby. “Our teams including the façade, joinery and site teams showed great group management to complete the complex internal and external works. This includes a grand, 7-metre-high lobby entrance that uses a mixture of finishes and materials”, said Cahill.

Poly Southlink’s Managing Director Yuan Tao is very impressed with the delivery and quality of the project and the striking facade and lobby area.

“On entering the lobby residents are greeted by soaring ceilings and an amazing gold spiral staircase which leads to the first floor common area and huge media room, pool and gym.

“It has the appeal of being the best value for apartments in South Yarra and there is no waiting – can move in before Christmas and be part of the action,” Yuan Tao said.

Bird de la Coeur Architects with Hassell as the interior designers have created a distinctive project focused on lifestyle.

Claremont Manor itself is a 19-storey tower offering a lap pool, gym, residents club including lounge, function and theatre rooms, a 5-start hotel-style lobby entrance with a restaurant and grocer at the foot of the building.

The building features a modern monochrome palette to the exterior and interiors while there are four high speed lifts and keyless entry system into the apartments.
