Developed by Melbourne based company OpenCorp, Deco Residences, located 4.5 kilometres from Brisbane CBD in Albion, is a 154-dwelling apartment development designed to suit owner-occupiers seeking generous apartment sizes and an appreciation of the art deco period design.
“We’re building these residences with locals in mind who will benefit from the inner-city location and the unique, quality design these residences offer,” says Allister Lewison at OpenCorp.
Designed by award winning practice ROTHELOWMAN architects, Deco Residences features a timeless, curving façade spread over two striking six and seven-storey buildings.
The façade is inspired by the White Cliffs of Dover on the English coastline and the iconic art influence.
All fixtures, fittings and finishes are reminiscent of the deco style, with the addition of modern appointments such as engineered timber floorboards and high-end kitchen appliances.
In keeping with the generous apartment sizes typical of the deco period, dwellings in Deco Residences have been designed with size and quality in mind.
Particular attention has been paid to include generous external areas above the market standard, allowing residents to bring the outdoors in and appreciate views across the city skyline.
One-bedroom apartments range from 54 -57 square metres internally and are priced from $399,000.
All two-bedroom apartments include two bathrooms and come with the option of a study nook.
The internal area of the two-bedroom apartments range from 75 – 86 square metres and start at $535,000.
Also available are several three-bedroom, two bathroom apartments, again with the additional option of a study nook. The internal area of the three-bedroom apartments range from 90 -118 square metres and start at $670,000.
“The vast array of floor plans customisable interior palettes available in Deco showcases our commitment to creating unique developments as original as its residents,” says Allister Lewison.
Further complementing the individual residences are the development’s recreational communal areas, including a pool and tranquil garden oasis, and at least one car park and storage space per apartment.
Construction of Deco Residences is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2017.
